28 www.dryden.ca Non-Profit Spot Light Second Chance Pet Network provides a safe haven for surrendered and abandoned animals, rehabilitating and caring for them pending their adoption into loving, forever homes. We receive dogs and cats from the entire region of Northwestern Ontario, which includes the communities of Dryden & surrounding townships, Vermilion Bay, Fort Frances, Atikokan as well as over 50 First Nations reserves from Northwestern Ontario, Northern Manitoba, and Nunavut. Second Chance Pet Network is a Not-for Profit organization. We rely on the generous donations from the citizens of Dryden and surrounding area to help us provide opportunities to control the pet population in Dryden and surrounding areas, such as though our subsidized spay & neuter program, microchipping, and public awareness campaigns. We also receive support through Second Chance Treasures - our thrift store in downtown Dryden. Treasures is full of one-of-a-kind items; you’ll never know what you find there! Through providing items with a second chance, Treasures also helps our shelter efforts and support of all the animals that come into our care. Come meet our dedicated volunteers & get your ticket for our annual 2018 SCPN Fundraiser! 28
